My name is Kevin Saltis, and I’ve been fortunate enough to play golf all across the United States. But what brings me the most joy isn’t the scorecard or the scenery — it’s the camaraderie that lives inside this game.
It’s the late-night rounds with friends, chasing the sun.
It’s the early mornings when the fog hugs the fairways and everything feels possible.
It’s playing with strangers and walking off the 18th as lifelong friends.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to help a handful of people fall in love with the game — people who may never have gotten that chance otherwise. I’ve given away clubs, offered tips, and watched as golf became a source of joy, peace, and belonging in their lives. That’s what drives me.
I started Salty’s Golf Shop because I want to keep that going. I want to break down the barriers that make golf feel intimidating or out of reach. And with your help, I think we can do something special — something that gives back to the game and opens the fairway to anyone willing to take a swing.
This is more than a shop.
It’s a mission. It’s a movement. It’s golf with soul.

How We Started:
Salty’s Golf Shop didn’t begin in a boardroom — it started on a driving range with a borrowed set of clubs and a simple act of kindness.
A few years ago, I met a man named Davie who hadn’t played golf in over 20 years. He grew up loving the game in Scotland, but life pulled him away. Now living in upstate New York, he wanted to find his way back. I helped him — no charge. We worked on his swing, tracked down some clubs, and played his first round in decades. That round turned into a friendship. And that friendship lit a spark.
I realized that golf, at its best, isn’t just about scorecards — it’s about connection, healing, and second chances. But too often, it’s locked behind price tags, gatekeeping, and outdated ideas of who belongs.
So I started Salty’s Golf Shop. Not just to fund my own game — but to open the door for others. Especially juniors, newcomers, and anyone who’s ever looked at a course and thought, “I wish I could play.”
This brand is for them.
It’s for the grinders, the beginners, the dreamers, and the believers.
It’s for you.
